you got to take the rough with the smooth

since being together, for nearly two weeks in the EVS house. there have been little ups and downs with everyone having things on there mind. it's hard to find a way to live with people with different eating habits, sleeping habits, and social commitments and interests. we have all been learning more about each other emotionally everyday and it will take time, but we (in my opinion) have to be like a little family we need to be there for each other, this is after all a learning/life experience for everyone. all our Serbian is improving day by day (for me slower than the others)  but we are all making forward steps in our new tongue. I had a mini crisis i lost my wallet at the weekend with all my money and id's but in a weird way it has liberated me and i now feel more at home or at least this city is less daunting to me. we had our first Serbian lesson yesterday with our teacher (leana) which made things easier but we also realized the have like 4 letters in the alphabet which all sound somewhere between J and a G sound, and the roll there R's which my new tongue wont let me do, and this is basic stuff!!! we are all making different paths in Serbia but at the same time we are meeting new people. 1 of the things i have learnt you have to brew the tea as it heats (no one shown me just learnt) and it is very weak tea, but at least i have a hot drink for me, which is needed since it is getting more like the weather in England (cold and wet) so i need the heat for inside, been doing some yoga (or trying), others in the group are meeting with there friends from before Serbia. we are all going ice skating on Saturday and then out to a club for the start of the winter clubs (here they have winter and summer seasons). i think maybe we will go out tonight to since we all stayed in last night, which is rare for us, i am learning ;-)  .  

i cooked a very English meal for my family :-)
last night was scrambled eggs in a special way with basil and tomatoes. sausage, and oven potatoes. was so f**king needed i think. everyone enjoyed it :-)

I am starting to venture further a field, everything is a adventure here. i love it.

this is the land of opportunity i have never known anything like it, i feel anything is possible i feel it will be hard to leave Belgrade. anyway that is a long way away.

don't let the rain wash away your smile and everyone buy some gloves winter is coming. :-p
